Lean42 Cloud Migration Decision Survey - 6 Rs
This survey is designed to help you decide if your application is cloud-ready and what the right migration path is.
As a result of the questions of the survey, the following cloud migration decision could be recommended:
- Retain: Currently everything stays as it is, the application will be reconsidered later.
- Retire: The application is decommissioned as soon as possible, without a direct replacement.
- Repurchase: The application is replaced or re-procured, either by a cloud-enabled application or by a service from the cloud.
- Rehost: Without any changes to the application, it is moved to a cloud platform, (only) the underlying infrastructure is replaced.
- Replatform: The application itself is not changed, but when it is moved to the cloud, some necessary adjustments are made to the deployment.
- Refactor: The structure of the application is fundamentally adapted or it is completely rebuilt before moving to the cloud.
After the questionaire/assessment is completed the recommendation is stored in a tag group and can be used in reports.
